PLEASE HELP SIGN A PETITION I STARTED IN ORDER TO HELP INNOCENT ANIMALS FOR BEING MURDERED ONLY FOR ART AND NO OTHER REASON AT ALL!!!
This one artist is killing mice, rabbits, chickens and cats and may soon start killing puppies.

This is from Lany at petlovers.com that got me started on creating this petition:
"PLEASE PROTEST ABOUT THIS.

Nathalia Edenmont is a artist and she is killing cats, rabbits and mice 15 minutes before she take a photograph. The pictures represent humans!!!
She has an exhition of her work at the Wetterling Gallery.(www.wetterlinggallery.com).
THIS IS SICK - DON'T LOOK AT THE PHOTOS - They are extremely upsetting. - Don't say I didn't warn you....

I have emailed the gallery to tell them I was disgusted with them. I recieved a reply asking me not to fight those who are fighting the same cause! In other words they were saying that she is trying to show the horrors of killing animals by actually killing them herself. So I replied and said that they are others ways to show the horrors of killing animals without actually having to murder them. I did not recieve a reply. In my opinion the woman is a murderer.

This is what they say on their website:.......
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Is it permissible to kill animals in the name of art?

Most people who see Nathalia's pictures for the first time are impressed by how beautiful they are. It takes a few seconds before you start to wonder how they have been made. A photo-montage? Some kind of digital manipulation? When you look closer, there is something slightly distorted in the rabbit's expression. Something slightly abnormal about the face of the cat. Slowly you realise that the animal is dead, that the animal has died for the sake of the picture. Is this acceptable?

One can, of course, choose to think that it is always wrong to kill animals in the name of art. That nothing can defend Nathalia Edenmont. But if you feel more doubtful, we would very much like to explain Nathalia's reasoning, and how we at Wetterling Gallery argue when we exhibit her art.

Art arouses thoughts and poses questions that are necessary. Nathalia's beautiful pictures are frightening in the same way that many other beautiful things hide some sort of suffering. One can enjoy beautiful exteriors, or one can go beneath the surface and find things that perhaps you do not want to know about. If Nathalia's pictures had been repugnant, it would have been easy to reject them. But now they are so beautiful - and the insight into the reality behind them gives rise to thoughts about people's shallowness and double standards. Many of us eat meat, wear leather or use make-up that has been tested on animals, without this arousing especially strong reactions. But when a picture shows a dead rabbit, all **** breaks loose.

Nathalia grew up in the former Soviet Union, and she has a razor sharp eye for paradoxes and gaps in our western morals. She is not the first to use dead animals in her works of art - that has been done at least since the 1700s, but she is a contemporary debater who provokes questions which nowadays everyone should ask themselves. Her pictures tell lies in front of our faces, but they are not alone in this - the lies exist all around us every day, without us questioning them.

There is nothing illegal in Nathalia's art. She has killed the animals in as humane a way as possible. Has she been guilty of a moral crime? We do not think so. We think that art is of vital importance. What do you think?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

This must be seen for what it is - blatant murder. The artist should be utterly ashamed of herself, and the gallery equally so for promoting such inhuman trash. Please spread this and get as many people as possible to protest to the gallery. Their email is: info-AT-wetterlinggallery.com"

If you want to see the horrible things she has done to them go to:

[/url]www.wetterlinggallery.com
(then click on the email: info-AT-wetterlinggallery.com and another screen should come up, then click on the archive, then click across from 2003, the artist's name Nathalia Edenmont and it will show her work, what she says is artwork, not really to me. Let me know if this update helps with being able to see the cruelty she has done to animals, sorry I didn't give enough info. the first time.

How sad. I looked at the pictures. I shouldn't have. Like the letter said, impressive art, only if it was computerized. It is so sad and horrible. My only question, why?
