Hello. Hopefully someone can help me. I live in a area where there are lots of dogs. We have a group of people that meet in the park daily to let our dogs play. The park is not fenced in so most of us have to keep our dogs on a leash. All of our dogs know each other very well, so most of the time it is very enjoyable. The problem is one dog. It is a small male dog that keeps peeing on our dogs & on people. Myself and another person got marked today all over our clothes. Let's just say it was not very enjoyable. The owner does nothing. He just laughs. If anyone has any suggestions that I might be able to speak to this person about, I would really appreciate it. I know the dog is fixed.

Cheers,

KJ

Speaking to the owner seems useless. I would get a spray bottle - fill in with vingar & water and when the dog marks me or anything I own - i'd spray him in the face.

If the owner says anything - say "if it's ok for your dog to mark me - it's ok to mark him back!!"

Good Idea!! Yes he is useless. He is more worried about socializing with everyone than watching his dog. I will bring a bottle out with me from now on. Maybe the dog will stay away from me from now on. Actually I don't blame the dog, I blame the owner for not watching what his dog is doing & taking control. Thanks again for the idea!!!

Don't go too easy on the dog either. What he's doing is showing his disregard for you and your dog. Be tough with him... show him two can play at this game & you're going to win.

PS this is really really bad manners on the part of the dog. It's the equal to giving you the finger and you do not & should not allow it. To the point of kicking his little **** (without really hurting him) if need be.
