In your opinion, which do you think is better for climate, work, temperament, and abilities?

With either of these breeds you should be accustomed to working with Dominant dogs, have the time to properly train and socialize them, In my opinion you better chioce is the GSD as s it hard to find a sound doberman breeder know a days.

For overall climate tolerances the german shepard would be my pick. They are better insulated for heat & cold.
The doberman to get that "mean" look requires cosmetic surgery to his/her ears. I'm not in favor of it but without it they look a little like a beagle.
Both breeds are intelligent and trainable.
