Well, I got my kitten used to having a dog around, and now she's fine with calm dogs, but Molly is back with her, ugh. Molly will NOT stop trying to play with the kitten! It's horrible for everyone involved. If someone sp much as touches the kitten Molly goes nuts. The cat is geting EXTREMELY stressed out, and I think Molly is, too. I've tried almost everything...I'm just very afraid of letting Molly run at her, because Molly could easily kill the kitten. We're thinking we'll have to return the kitten to my dad's house (with the calm dog), until my brother goes to college and takes the kitten with him. We don't want to have to resort to this...my dad doesn't want any more cats around (my girl, Phoenix lives with him and he adores her, but she's enough). Please, what more can I do? The only thing I can think of working is if the kitten finally gives Molly a good wap on the nose (but Molly is the kind of dog who doesn't get the picture). The other, of course, is to get her the playmate. I still haven't brought that up to my mother...I'm afraid she will think it's a horrible idea. I know you guys have basically answeed this question before, but as I plan on sending this post to my mum, I want as direct an answer as possible, thank you.
Will adopting a playmate for Molly possibly help in her problems with the cat?
As always, thank you so much for your answers and willingness to help out all of us dog loves ![[Smile]](smile.gif)

All that Molly is looking for is a play mate. She can't figure out why this cute fluffy kitten won't play with her.One thing about dogs is they don't seem to realize how big they are.My dog,Osha, thinks that she is a little 5 pound cat.She weighs around 70-75 pounds. She has 2 other dogs to play with, but she still loves to play with my male cat,Puff Dog.You're probably thinking you are crazy, you named your cat Puff Dog.He thinks he's a dog.He will eat whole dog biscuits [they are like 4 or 5 inches long],dog food,& if you try to take it away from him he will attack your hand just like a dog would. It is so funny considering he only weighs 5-10 pounds. I love all of pups & kittens. If you can try to get a [dog] playmate for Molly. It might be better for her,& for the kitten.Good Luck on getting that kitten to fit in at your house.Hope you find Molly a good playmate. ![[Big Grin]](biggrin.gif)

You know, I've noticed that the kitten isn't defending herself at all...it appears that she's actually doing a little playing, lol! Looks like everythings gonna work out. It's a little bit of a problem after she gets out of her crate, because she needs a more dog-like creature to play with, but the rest of the time it's working out great.
Thanks you everyone for your answers on my previous post about this, and this post ![[Smile]](smile.gif)

Maybe get them some toys that they will both love. Like my dog and my grandmas play tug of war.
