I remember those days! I would just be brutally honest. Tell him you don't want to ruin your friendship, but you've been thinking about... And DON'T use the "L" word right away. I found the best way to get a man's interest is not to chase him, plant the idea and back off. Let us know how it works out!

Just be who you are...don't try to "please" someone. Be honest, open, friendly and joyous... everyone likes to be around someone like that. Treat him the way you would want to be treated and if this is the guy for you things will develop. ![[Wink]](wink.gif)

Now you should go up to him and say - hey I had a great time last night - maybe we should (fill in the blank - catch a movie, I don't know).
I had to ask my husband out on our first date. We went out to the bar with a group of friends from work (we both worked together). Well - the bar closed down - and we sat talking in the parking lot for three hours. (I was a single mom at the time - I was tired when my son woke me up at 8am the next morning!).
So the next day I sat and waited at work - he never called me (thought it was odd - since we talked for so long). Well one of his friends told me that he liked me - so I went ahead and asked him out. Smartest thing I ever did (and scariest - I used to be really shy - don't know what happened!).
Just have fun - and remember life is not all about boys. It's been a while since I was your age - but trust us old timers (LOL) - we know what we're talking about.

If you want to go out with him, ask him out. There's no reason not to. It used to be that girls had to wait for guys to ask them out or they'd be considered 'too foward' (that's old-fashioned for ******). Now, it's not like that, thank God.
My husband and I were really good friends, and I thought he liked me, but he WOULD NOT ask me out. I finally figured, what the heck, and asked him out. Best move I ever made. Come to find out, he was a little freaked out about asking me out and didn't know if I was interested.
I know it's totally cliche, but guys are just as nervous as we are when it comes to asking somebody out. If he says no, don't take it personally and keep your good friend. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
Good luck!
