Does anyone out there own a Pixie-Bob cat? I'd love to see pictures and hear stories! I fell madly in love with this breed the first time I visited a website (by chance) about them. I was actually looking for pictures on Pixies when this site popped up. They're the most adorable cats ever! I started to look for a breeder in South Africa and to my dismay found out that they are not bred here yet! Of course, I don't have enough money to bring one in myself, so I will have to wait for someone to do so. Also, some breeders here say that the Pixie-Bob are not a pure bred and that they can be very dangerous ("wild" because of the amount of toes on some of them) and are not recognised by any cat association or club.
Well, NOTHING can take away my interest in this breed. I would LOVE to own one someday! And I have read nothing bad about any of them anywhere.

Are you talking about Manx cats with extra toes? I'm not familiar with the pixie-bob name...
I don't think they're a breed, more of a mutation. We have them around here. They're not really common, but they pop up every now and then. I had a friend that had a mama cat that always had 2-3 kittens like that in every litter. That was a long time ago. They were really nice cats. They were as tame as you wanted them to be. Be carefull, if you like cats, you just might not want to leave the websites with pixies!

They were adorable! The more I read about them, the more I think I have heard of them before. The 'doglike' descriptions that they gave sounded really familiar. They look a lot like the 6-toed, manx cats that I've seen. Ours weren't a recognized breed, though.
