Hi all. I've been lurking here for a long time, but decided to register now.
I'm the extremely proud friend of a border collie mix - although no one can actually tell me what he might be mixed with.
He found my son up north one year and swam through lakes and ran through woods just to hang around him. He is the most intelligent dog I've ever had! And, to top it off, he talks...yes, that's right. He actually talks. Well, it is dog talk, but I understand it. If I can figure out where to host a pic of him, I will post it here.
Anyway, nice reading from all of you dog lovers. It certainly shows in your posts how much you actually care for our canine companions!

I waited to register until I felt I had a reason to post. (That's me - Ms. Practical! )
Don't worry...I'll eventually get a pic up. I'm too proud of Spyder NOT to!
Thanks for the welcomes!

Yes, it took me ages to figure out how to post the pics on here, but my son finally showed me. I am proud of my dogs too, so I know the feeling. ![[Big Grin]](biggrin.gif)

Is 'up north' Alaska? Spyder is one special dog. If you can post an mp3 clip of him 'talking' we would love to hear him.

Spyder is blushing from the compliments. Thanks!
"Up North" is northern Michigan. Alaska would be WAAAYYY up north. Michigan would be uch the same terrain, I would guess, though, minus the mountains and insects the size of school buses - lakes, rivers, woods, fields. But that IS a dream of mine - going to Alaska someday, and getting a Siberian or Alaskan Husky.
An MP3 attachment, eh? I know I can record him as a .WAV file, because I've done so before. Then, I'll need to figure out where I can have the file hosted, as it looks like the "good" pic site is not working now.

We can still see your picture. A link to a .wav file would be ok too. Most people have windows and that will play .wav format. (Mac people will need special software to hear it.)
We would love to hear your dog 'talking.'
