Hi Dawn, he is lovely, are you going to ride? I got my horse too on Saturday, she is an Arab mare, white all over with brown speckled spots. We are just getting aquainted. She was unwanted, just like my pony Tiny, I don't know why I keep getting these animals!! ![[Big Grin]](biggrin.gif)

Must be just terrible for you. (NOT) You must live on a nice piece of land... I am more than jealous. Maybe once Ariel's all grown up - l'll put a little saddle on her and pretend she's a pony (Just kidding).

I have to board both of my babies. I hate not having them with me. Rusty, the new one, still has some banged up spots and swelling, and Reno's got an abcess (or something mysterious) going on with her hoof. So it's taking up so much time running back and forth to the barn 3 or more times a day to doctor them.

LOL Doglover, Yes it's shocking having to love all these animals, lol, and Folly (arab) is quite a personality!! Luckily we are on 10 acres, with a creek and dam through the middle, do you hate me more now!!!LOL. Oh, you know that painting I was doing of Ell's, well I cracked it with it and threw it in the fire. I know, before you say anything, I was in tears the next morning, but I can't get it back, so I have started again on a bigger canvas, this one will be much clearer and better!! . Sorry Dawn I have taken over here, it must be a pain not being able to see them all the time to keep an eye out, but then again, sometimes I have to walk nearly the 10 acres looking for mine, we have heaps of trees and if they go down the back that's it, a nice long walk!!!

Ellierat - YES!!! But it's envy.
Dawn, when I was a kid we had horses too and had to go visit them as well. But it's a labor of love (LOL too) so it makes it worthwhile.

Sorry Doglover (NOT), I am being cruel.
Dawn, your hoof problem, a while back Tiny got into half a bin of calf pellets, she naturally foundered, frothing at the mouth, quite bad and terrifiying, we nearly lost her. Six months later, her hooves are actually peeling away, have you had the one with the hoof problem for long or is he/she the new one. Just a thought!!

No, I know it's not laminitis. I've only had her for about 4 months, but I checked her over good, and the farrier did too.
No abcess has surfaced, but she's barely lame now. So we're thinking it might have actually been a really deep bruise and the soaks and ichthamol drew it out.

Hi Ellierat, no wonder I haven't heard from you! You've been too busy riding that horse! Good for you. I'm glad you're having fun!
Doglover, You are just too funny! I must say that you sure do have quite an imagination. (Nice Try)
