I am a mold remediation and analysis technician. I used to be a lab assitant doing chemical research, but I changed my major back to biology so if i chose to pursue a career as a vet I could. That's why I work with the mold now, more biological .

I have my BS in biology, with a minor in chem. I like the lab work now, but I totally miss the interaction with the public that I had in my pre-graduation jobs. I have been looking into becoming a vet tech, hopefully by getting a job as a vet assistant and training to be a tech. I would love to go to vet school, but there really is no way right now. My husband and I bought a house, and have our roots in Maine (both or our families live within 15 minutes of us!!!) and there are no vet schools within driving distance ... sooo
anyway, i wish you luck!!!!

My husband and I just bought a house too, but I had to work my a** off in my core classes so that I could go to grad school.
Fortunately I was able to get some scholorships to help me, and Notre Dame is very close to my house. This is great because it is one of the best schools in the country.
Best of luck to you, maybe your situation will change someday, and you will be able to pursue a career as a vet.
