To everyone who was there for me when I was ill, thankyou so much for your support and kind comments, they helped me through it more than you will ever know. You may have guessed by now, I am all well, the clot is dissolving, I can see properly again, glad you were all there. Kindest thoughts to you all.

Sue... This forum is great because of you and people like you. I am glad you are feeling better. And I wish there was more that I could have done to help you while you were under the weather. We might be here to talk about our dogs but we stay becasue we make friends.

Geesh, I'm gonna get a swelled head in a minute, this is getting so mushy, what has gotten into us today. LOL. You know something Doglover, when I was sick I got really frightened, everyone took my mind off it somewhat, it was an escape to come online, I think that's why my hubby typed for me, except he didn't like having to do punctuation much!!

LOL on the chocolate, as luck would happen we have school holidays and the kids have all gone away, so I can eat in bliss!!!!!
I have just smoked out the house, it looks like I have smoke signals comming out all the windows, I had this brilliant idea to clean the potbelly stove with some cedar oil, whilst still alight. Geess it smells a bit. LOL. ![[Blushing]](graemlins/blush.gif)

lol. LOL. Doglover, does anyone know how long it takes to burn cedar off the outside of a potbelly stove? I have about 4 hours before hubby comes home. If he knows about it he will make big time milage out of this one. LOL.

What???? Surely he appreciates all the extra effort to make sure he has a hot meal.
Had to go to bed (basically hubby kicked me off the computer).

Wondered where you went, it was only about 2pm for me when I was writing, it is now 7am on Thursday morning here. Hubby came home to the smell of onions and bacon, I made him potato, leek and bacon soup, then a quiche, it hid the smell of cedar oil. LOL.

After you've been in this forum for a while you get used to when each person may come online, for me everyone is mostly on in my am, which is normally their pm. If your in UK then you would have 10 hours difference between me, so it is now 9am here, you are 11pm right?

LOL Doglover, told you that you make me laugh. Yes it has a much milder flavour than any of the onions. I use it a lot, especially when I want the other flavours in my cooking to come through and not be overpowered with onion.

Well, not quite yet. She weighted in at 89 lbs today. Not bad for 6 months old. I did find a webside to make a cart for her. That way she can do what she was breed for and I can pick up more veggies at the farmer's market and still walk there. But I'll wait til she's over 1 year maybe more before I say MUSH to her.
You really should try some leek if you get a chance. One of my favorite soups is potatoe leek with bacon. Made my mouth water when Ellierat was talking about it. But it's the middle of summer here and the only soup that goes down great is cold strawberry soup.

Yeh we gobbled it up the other night, I also made some parmeson toasts to dunk, that is turkish bread cut in half and sprinkled with parmeson cheese and grilled in the oven. We topped it of with a selfsauce choc pudding and icecream.. REALLY HUNGRY NOW....SAM. Tonight we are having Tai Pineapple Chicken.
