I just heard on the news that you Aussies have kangaroo's rampaging thru the streets because they are starving & attacking dogs.
Can you guys confirm.

I'm not joking - but the pictures in my head are hilarious. It was on the news here in Canada that because of the drought - the beasties are coming into the cities & attacking people and pets.
SO you're saying there's no such thing as KILLER KANGAROOS?

They're not killing. But they do have these little boxing gloves, and they're looking for a fight.

LOL you two, well it's a first for me, the last Kangaroo I saw was actually a Wallaby(small roo) dead on the side of the road (unfortunately), I live on 10 acres and have not seen one on my property, not even a koala. The roos only live in the forest, so unless you go there you don't see them.
They can give a nasty kick, but mostly run away if they see you. So the closest I have come in contact is with the car in the bush, they make a bloody mess of your car if you hit one.

While downpours are beginning to cause traffic chaos in the big cities as the drought on the eastern seaboard ends in floods, mobs of the Australian national symbol are still bounding down main streets of parched country towns in search of food.
In one reported case, kangaroos attacked and killed a dog.

"A senior wildlife ecologist with Environment ACT, Murray Evans, said on Wednesday the kangaroos could pose a threat to people and dogs, with one woman savaged by a large kangaroo as she was walking her small, pet dog in a paddock last week.
"Her dog went near the kangaroo and she followed and before she knew it the kangaroo lashed out, scratching her down the side of her body," Evans told Reuters.
Another woman told how a kangaroo drowned one of the four dogs she was walking with a friend, attacking it in a pond and holding it under the water with its hind legs while it hit out at one of the other dogs with its front legs.
"My friend started shouting: 'There's a kangaroo in the pond. It's got Summer'. It was surreal, like your worst nightmare," Christine Canham told the Canberra Times newspaper.
"She was screaming and screaming. The kangaroo just stared back at us. I will never forget that.""

They make it sound like we have them running down our main streets, it must have been in some outback town in NSW, it's been the dryest there.
We are over the drought where we are now.
I have seen on the news a fair while back of kangaroos giving people good kicks in wildlife parks, but didn't catch this news report.
Kangaroos don't eat meat, phew!! but just to be safe I'm gonna stay inside today on the forum. LOL.
