I got my computer back last night, Yeh!!! you can now send emails, I didn't lose my contacts either, the man saved them for me and reinstalled them.
I put my sons back in his room, plugged it all back in, he didn't come home, so he is none the wiser, what a clever mum ![[Big Grin]](biggrin.gif)

LOL Yeh! but I know I will get caught, I'm a terrible liar, but it is fun while he isn't here to think I will get away with it.
Come to think of it I had better ring him, I haven't heard from him in 3 days????

Yes the computer repairer showed me how, but he said if my son wanted to he could check something called cookies? on the computer, unfortunately the only cookies I know about are the ones I bake in the oven, so I guess it's a foregone conclusion I'm gonna get caught.
Lucky he is a great kid anyway when it comes to that sort of thing, he won't really go crook at me. LOL.

he'll only check the cookies if he gets suspicious! that takes effort, he probably uses his history every day. You might get away with it yet.

LOL. LOL. just don't tell my younger son about cookies in the computer, or he'll pull the whole thing apart looking for something to eat!!LOL

Ellierat, does he have spy block? I think that's what it's called. When you go to different sites on the internet the site puts a cookie into your computer. That lets them know you've been there. Some of these can be very bad for your computer, something like a virus. I have this protection on my computer and I check it everyday. It tells me after scanning what needs cleaning and how severe each one is. I then tell it to clean them. It's hard for me to explain but everyone should have it if you don't want to end up having to take your computer to the shop, as you did. Also you should have a virus protection also. I know it costs to do this but in the long run, your are much better off not having to pay a computer tech. to fix your computers.

Barbara we had AVG but it didn't stop the virus, it had hidden itself in windows and slowly ate away at parts of windows. It was called Lucen something?
We now have VET, hopefully it will keep the little bug-gers out.
