Well, it is February and we have had Fluffy since August. We also have a cat named Jack the Pumpkin King:), born the same day on the same farm. We have had him since October 1st. He loves Fluffy but Fluffy is over protective of all of us, even against each of us... don't know how to settle that down either. :shepwalk:

We recently acquired a

<normalfont>pit bull puppy</normalfont>

, because it needed to be potty trained and the owner was just beating her:(. Poor girl. She is so sweet and cuddly. So we were told she is now ours. I am kind of nervous about it, I don't know if I have it in me to be as aggressive as I am told I need to be during training in order to keep her from turning on me. I don't know though. The thought of being that rough with an animal is nerve wrecking for me:no:, no matter what the reason is. We shall see. IU will be asking for advice on here.

Anyhow, the animals are all in good health and happy and getting along. So far. I hope that continues.

Yesterday my husband surpised me with a new husky puppy. We drove all the way to SC for her. Her name is Enovia, or Novi for short. So far, she is so bright! She is very alpha too. She constantly sleeps by my feet though. She keeps Taz, our weimaraner, in check and she's only 8 weeks old, lol. They play together and really like each other too. I was so happy. She's so gorgeous. She's mischevious too, which I love. I can't wait to watch her grow.

I have so much work to do and I don't even feel like doiong it. I'm tired, lol. We just finished the fence in the yard for Taz. We had recently moved and the backyard needed to be fenced andSo, even though it is dirt, agt least Taz can run around out back. It's a work in progress. Taz had more shots and weighed 24 pounds at 15 weeks old. His paws are huge! He's still got the brightest blue eyes, I think even for a Weimaraner.

The other day my husband said "Tazzie needs a baby sister husky" and next weekend we're going to South Carolina to go to what my husband described as "An awesome pet shop ordeal." I know for a fact though, that before we got Taz, we were in contact with a breeder in South Carolina. We decided to wait on a husky, but wanted to use that specific breeder. Either my husband has become puppy nuts and really does want to go shopping (he wants to bring Kiev too because it;s not fair to bring one baby and not the other, lol) or I'm being surprised with this sibe puppy he fell in love with. We followed the litter's birth and the breeders even sent pictures of even just the one puppy he said he adored. She's nearly pure black. She still has the white feet, blue eyes, and two white spots above her eyes.

She really is gorgeous, but I stopped asking about it. I also knew the puppies would be available to be brought home sometime in January. I don't wanna get my hopes up. It just all sounds too fishy... lol

Right now Taz is taking a puppy nap. He's been such a good puppy. He doesn't even get into the garbage! He's too good... I grew up with huskies so sometimes I feel like I need a little more mischeif around here. He did bring my underwear to my mother the other day though in the kitchen. That was funny.

Anyways, I have tons of work to do and really must tend to it.

Metronidazole Toxicity in Dogs

Metronidazole was prescribed for 3.5 lb poodle for colitis. She did well from May 15 until December when she started developing neurological symptoms associated with metronidazole. When I withdrew the drug, the neuro problems subsided but the colitis came back. I was working on a balance with fiber in diet and no metro when I took her in to our Vet. After examining her and hearing from us she said it was unlikely that the metro was giving her problems since she had been on it so long, even though I told her I thought it was building to a toxic level. She instructed me to give her the usual dose at Noon that day, which I did and my little poodle was dead by 2:00. My vet had closed for the day and I was instructed to take her to a nearby city (we are in a rural area) and of course we didn't make it in time. Please be aware that the toxicity may build up over time and be alert to all of the side effects that may be caused by this drug.

I am looking for a good groomer for my business with a good clientele. I am wondering what I should offer a person. I am currently offering them to keep 75% of what they earn and I supply everything else except tools and shampoos. Is this a reasonable offer? I am opening up a doggy day care, boarding facility in March of this year and want to have a few good groomers on board with me when I open the doors. :dog:

Hi all, I have a beautiful chihauhau, she is about 5 yrs old. (we rescued her from abusive neighbors) she is the pickiest dog ever. I have purchased and thrown out every kind of dog food on the market. The only thing I can get her to eat is Jones brawnschweiger liverwurst. An 8 oz tube has 4 human servings @170 calories each. A tube lasts around 5 days, and she will each waggin train dog treats, unfortunately they do not have a calorie count. I can't seem to find out how many calories a dog that should weight 9 or 10 lbs instead of 12 needs on a daily basis. Can anyone out there help?

My dog Ginger is a Bishon Frisy. And she is very cuddley. Like she will sit on any ones lap that sits down, and just sleep on them. :)It's really funny. And when my alarm goes of in the morning, she whines at the door and wants to see me. Some how she knows that the alarm means I'm getting up.
She's all white, but she used to have a few yellow spots here and there, and she used to have a yellow ear but she grow out of it. :(
And we have this like toy cat thing and it turns on and off and makes cat noises, and moves it's feet a little. And when ever we turn it on she barks and sniffs at it. It's really funny. And if we get down on the floor she get's exited and wants to play. :dog:

My new puppy (she's 14 weeks but I've only had her one) seems to think she's the boss of me. She follows me around everywhere and hits me with her paw if I'm not doing what she asks. She also barks and snaps at me if I tell her to get off the bed. I don't understand because I took her from an abusive home and I love her to pieces. I have been training her on commands but my mom says it's not enough to show her who's the boss.

well I need to say a few things first... I have taken care of my dog just fine and I could afford her. I had no issues. I have depleted my funds when I took in my sister and brother inlaw and their son because they had lost there jobs. So I do love her and would have had no issues if I would have let them live on the streets. Our parents are gone so they could not turn to them. I did not pay for the domain name. I did however pay for the vet 3 times befor she was admitted. she had gone every day for the first 3 days for testing as she started to have issues. I know that I came in the room looking like I can not pay or looking like I wanted money for my self. That is not true. I was scared and mad at my self for trying to help family out and depleting a lot of things and not just money. The camera was not mine lol so don't assume things. I am glad the photos were good. The one of my husband in the truck was taken with his phone. The bottom line is I love my baby very much and I am sorry people get the wrong impression of me or what I was trying to do. I am guilty of LOVEING my dog to the point of doing every thing to help her. I could have used some people to say we will keep you in our thoughts and pray that she will get better, but I understand what you might have assumed. I have learned that some times you will have people in this world that will only think of them selves only.
Maybe you can justify that. I can not do that how ever. That is why I make a good nurse and working in the hospital taking care of cancer patients most of my life you learn not to judge and you also must have a lot of compassion. SO I am sorry you all have the wrong assumption about me and the love and compassion I have. NO Matter... I will continue to help others in there time of need weather it be by talking to them, listening to them or maybe other ways if needed. Thank you for your time any way. I have looked on this site and have learned a few things about the type injury she has. Don't judge people till you walk in there shoes. wendy102368.. Ps I appologize for offending any one.
