I saw a show on the discovery channel that basicly stated, without dogs Humans may not have survived. and we would all be neanderthals.

    Hey Everyone,
I am new to this whole net thing - but here goes. I am proudly owned by seven dogs.
Harry who is a red and sable GSD - and was found abandoned in the goldmine dumps at about 3 1/2 months old. He was very ill for the first year of his life, and nearly didnt make it, but is now a huge, gentle giant (he is a lover not a fighter!) Hector and black and silver GSD who came from a squatter camp - he was found with a whole litter at about 5 weeks old - and was the only surviver Hector has also had huge problems, mainly digestive and after thousands of SA rands and every test known to mankind - all coming up negative, worked out his has irritable bowel syndrome, which now (after much experiments) have controlled with diet and now looks stunning. We then have Mac and Molly - both re-homes (lots of people regularly leave this country and dump their dogs, the numbers are horrific!) There are then two little terriers who also came from the squatter camps and my mother in law's elderly ridgeback - inherited as she had to go into care.

I live on a small farm in gauteng in south africa, and have a large amount of various strange pets (mostly rescues)

Would love to hear from you all - about your darling dogs and lifestyles.

    Great to join in
