Kuvasz....I wanted one until I read more about them. Maybe when my daughter is out of the house. They are very very protective of the family and could possibly be a problem around friends.

My little Cattle dog is not people friendly and we always have to put her in the kennel when people are here.

Leonbergers. They are lovely. By the breed standard they should be taller than an irish wolfhound and they are built like newfoundlands. A dog that lives down the road from me totally dwarfs our shetland PONY. Such gentle giants though.
I love great danes as well.
I would say pointers but i dont consider them to be a large breed. Anything smaller than a lab is small in my eyes.

I tend to like most dogs particularly the ones whose standard hasnt gotten away from its function. I like balanced dogs also, so i like Pointers, GSPs, Weims, Viszlas, Ridgebacks, GWPs, Dobes, Rotts.

I hold a special place for boxers, as i grew up with one.

I like the setters
I like giant schnauzers because they're handsome.

I should add that I get mesmorized by pointers when i see them either working or at the show ring moving. They are BY FAR the most balanced well structured dog, the movement is amazing.

second you on that one. That was part of the attraction for me when i first decided to show and breed them. I love borzoi hounds for the same reason, they look so graceful when they move.
