Can you help me read a CERF

I am clueless with reading a CERF and I am hoping that some of you can translate it for me.

I am looking at a certain stud dog and the CERF says:

G1-Fundus, retinal dysplasia-folds

then when I go back farther to the studs father the CERF says:

Registry Test/Film Date Report Date Age Final Conclusion PROGRESSIVE RETINAL ATROPHY Sep 13 2001 Jan 9 2007 69 GENOTYPICALLY NORMAL FOR PROGRESSIVE RETINAL ATROPHY

OK let me see if I can get this right AGAIN.

REGISTRY
Progressive Retinal Atrophy

Test/Film Date
Sept 13, 2001

Report Date:
Jan 09/2007

Age:
69

Final Conclusion:
GENOTYPICALLY NORMAL FOR PROGRESSIVE RETINAL ATROPHY

There....hopefully that is better and easier to read.

Thanks VB. A lot of the mastiff breed can have a slight Entropion or slight retinal folds. a CERF will even "allow this" and yes, these sites did help and thanks!

Are you looking at the CERF for the father of the stud? Does this mean the dog was tested for PRA?....If so, why was the report posted years later?

I'm just going from the quote, but what I suspect happened is that the dog showed no signs of PRA at his annual exam and then was DNA tested when a DNA test became available (hence 'genotype' gettne mentioned).

Thanks Dogstar. It looked to me that the dog had PRA in the beginning and then years later is normal??? I knew something looked wrong because PRA is either going to stay the same or in some cases get worse. I've seen CERFS before but this one had me stumped.
