Sorry to hear Bogey is still not better. I will have all fingers and toes crossed that he gets better soon. When will you hear about the lump?

Only my old boy Sabaka had drains when he had some lumps removed. They were open drains and drained all over the place. I'll be intrested to learn about other types that can be used.

Poor little Bogey. I am sure he is uncomfortable with all the drainage and his special helmet. Hugs to the little guy. I hope the drain helps him and that he heals up soon. Keep us posted. Will keep the little guy in our thoughts and prayers.

Ali's drain was place inside a wrapped bandage and we never saw it. Here is what he looked like after surgery.

I hope this doesn't gross anyone out, but I thought you might want to see pics of Bogey today for learning purposes.

Look how far away from the incision the bleeding/bruising has gone. Now that the drain is in, it doesn't seem to be spreading any further.

Now, for some GREAT news: the lump is NOT cancerous, but just another nasty lipoma that was in a very bad location. I'm still glad I had it removed since if it kept growing, it was in a spot that would have interfered with movement. But, this is quite a messy ordeal for a lipoma!!

The drain:
