Obama signs hate crime bill

lol ok after this i am going to do my homework and forget about this thread
but before i do i will say this its not the bravery and the devotion to life that makes me roll my eyes and even when those son of a guns give me a ticket i thank them for being there and looking out for me and shaking there hands they have my respect.
sorry i thought safety and justice for all was the one of the goals of this country regardless of who they sleep with what race religion or what ever it is that makes them different and let me say something else you ever been backed up to a washer being choked while someone screams f*****g lesbian to your face then when the police comes and i have red marks around my neck all the police sit laugh and joke with the guy who did it while i am frantically trying to get out of the house before the police get bored then they insist i come back the next day to get something i had to come back alone i almost got beat up then in court all he had to do is shout lesbian in the court room and he was not found guilty infact i was the only one who was assaulted that did not see justice that day and tell me why we dont need legislation for hate crimes

Agreed. But it doesn't cost anything for him to sign a bill that adds gay people and disabled people to existing law.

Just wrap your mind around this.....a guy grabbing you and you are not lesbian, just female.....and the guy throws stuff at you like" I know you want it, give it up"!!!

Still,the same crime......you get it?

He throws more money into investigations for these types of crimes.

i am not even sure i will bother to answer this because the logic behind this reasoning is well a bit silly except for the fact these things should not happen its simply wrong but it does happen thats why until things change thats why these laws are important but i have said that till i am blue in the face minds are like parachutes as they say guess we are going to have to agree to disagree

All i want to say is i'm sorry you had to endure that!. I have some gay friends too and sometimes they have to look over their shoulders when entering a bar, they constantly have their gaurd up. No one should live like that.

I know im going way off topic but just wanted to throw that in.
