Poor little girl, you have only had her two weeks, give her time, she will get it. It is frustrating, when we adopt adult dogs they know what they are supposed to do and it only takes them a few weeks to learn their new routine, it is a whole different ball game with a little puppy

It took forever to train Sadie. She was a pet store puppy and she was used to playing, pooping and eating in the same location. I taught her to ring a bell by the door when she wanted to go out. That seemed to help. The dog door was my life saver though

I agree with what everyone is saying, but am going to add just a few things. Have you taken her poop (from the house) and put it outside where you want her to go?

Also, where was she before you got her? That will depend on where she is trying to set up poop and pee time. If she was kept in a crate or puppy pen, that is where she thinks she should go, so in reality, she is going where she was taught, meaning once you switch things around on her, she will be just fine.

Another thing... after she DOES go outside, after the usual praise, what do you do? Bring her inside? Perhaps the act of going outside makes her think that is all the time she gets to spend outside, and you whisk her inside, so she holds it as long as she can, as she knows the next step is to go back in the house. Perhaps after she goes outside, play with her OUTSIDE, even if just for a few minutes. Don't grab her and take her back in right away. Just some thoughts...

P.S. Kind of like a young child that comes in the house to "go potty" and mom makes him stay in then... Next time he is more likely to have an accident ...

Nalla came from a foster home she was used to using puppy pads. I dont like using puppy pads I think they just prolong the teaching process. I have not tried putting her poo outside....if she poops in the house again I will try that forsure thanks!! When she does go outside I make a bug deal of it saying "Come on lets go pee pee and poo poos" over and over again till we are at the back door...then out she goes. She is always the one who crys to come back in, but I have learnt now that she must stay outside then she kind of goes into panic mode because the door wont open for her and really starts to cry but then she goes and does her poos while crying then runs back to the door to be let in. When she comes back in I make a big deal....SHE DID PEES AND POO POOS WHAT A GOOD GIRL lots of pets and I say that over and over again....she knows she is going to get the praise because unlike Noodle who comes in and runs up the stairs Nalla just waits for me to praise her.....note there is like a five second time laps between her doing a poop and getting in the house for praise.

Back up kiddo.....why are you giving Nalla praise when she comes back IN the house. Praise her OUTSIDE. Also, as Obed said, put a puppy pad or a piece of newspaper outside that she had already peed and pooped on. Put some rocks on it to hold the paper down and lead her to that spot EVERY time.

Actually I just said to put her POOP outside, but then thought, GEE, if she is used to pads, put the PAD outside... And you then beat me TO IT!!!!

But YES, praise her AS she is going potty or pooping, and what a good girl she is WHILE she is going.... not after.
