Smile Anyone feed Nutro(or even if you don't) and what do you think of it?

I just put Chopper on Nutro Natural Choice small bites. I did some research, and my mom has her dogs on it and loves it and I am thinking it is pretty much the best choice without having to order it and having it shipped. So what do you think?

Ariel was on the large breed formula. I switched to EVO but that is going in the garbage and I'll go back to Nutro.

My mom swears by it and she has tried all kinds of stuff. I wonder if it matters that Chopper is small...I mean I guess I kinda got hung up on the whole "small breed" food cause I like the idea of it being more formulated for him but I wonder is "small breed" just means littler pieces when it comes down to it? Do you feed dry only?

I feed dry dog food with veggies added. I believe vegetables are a great additive. I don't give any canned dog food.

I am trying to give Chopper as little canned as possible but I use it to help get him to eat his food...because he is little mister picky pants. I have been feeding him Nutro for 2 days now and both days he has ate it without a problem but I don't know if it is because it is new to him or that he really likes it a lot more. I was thinking about adding some of that missing link stuff to it...what do you think? I add stuff occasionally to his food like fat-free plain yogurt and lowfat cottag cheese and a little apple juice but only occasionally. I try to watch his weight and am afraid to add to much to it.

I'm not too familar with picky eaters LOL. We have something here called rollover. Dogs LOVE it. But I wouldn't consider it healthy to give all the time.

If she's eating it - continue. Don't keep switching or offering something else if she turns her nose up at it.

I know I shouldn't keep catering to him...but it is so hard cause he only gets fed once a day and I don't like him to not eat but I know I only teach him to not eat his food by giving him something else when he doesn't eat his food (he has me right where he wants me) lol is rollover like the missing link? a supplement?

This site tells you about Rollover
http://www.arcatapet.com/rollover.cfm

The chicken is very nice as is the Turkey. What I do is crumble some on top of the dry food and I use it to hide Dax's daily meds. It's the one way I know she will eat them all

I feed Innova and Firstmate, I can't say that Kirby likes it, Innova is triangles... But he won't eat any kibble by itself. Aadd a little yoghourt or broccoli and he'll eat anything. lol

The 5 of the top 7 ingredients in Nutro [regular formula] are grains- 1 is fat, only 1 is a meat... So it wouldn't be my first choice, but it's not a bad food.
