uhh mixed breeds. Of course most people here who have dogs don't do squat with them so the only time you see them is when you walk by a house and they are barking from the backyard.

in my neighborhood it's Bichon's, Cocker Spaniels, Pomeranian's, Yorkies and all sorts of small dogs. i've got the "moose" who is the "big dog" at 50 lbs.

although, a Boxer did just move in across the street, so hopefully we'll get a few larger dogs soon!

and, in my extended neighborhood we've got a great variety - a Chow, a St Bernard, an Airedale, a Standard Poodle (he is HUGE), plus a Golden and a few Labs.

The post popular breed around here, town and state is the Lab.....blahhhhhh, sorry I really dont care at all for this breed and everyone and their grandmother has one. Then talk about the mix breeding with this breed...I swear if you didnt have papers on your dog you are assured some where in that dogs background is Lab blood!

Out here in the sticks where I live folks favor herding breeds. Borders, Aussies, Heelers, GSD's, etc. In town Pitts are the most common (I won't say popular. Most of them are owned by teenagers who think having a Pitt makes them macho. Most of these poor dogs end up in the shelter )

Most popular FAMILY dogs in town seem to be Labs and Goldens.
