how to bathe a water scared dog?

I have one dog that LOVES swimming!! tolerates baths.. Im used to the water dogs so Im used to having easy baths. My new puppy... you might as well be murdering him if you turn on the hose!!! (i wouldnt even try washing him in my bathroom... way too much water... everywhere....) He likes playing in the baby pool we have, but hates baths... anyone have any suggestions? Oh and when he was younger he was just fine getting baths, and I actually did them in the shower... Now hes too insane for the shower...

I would wash him in the baby pool, but it would waste too much water if I used soap... My mom is big on saving that much water (although i probably use the same ammount washing him anyways...)

Use a bucket with soapy (dog shampoo) water and a big sponge. Let him rinse off in the baby pool.

Why not put him in a tub of warm water, let him play or u entertain him till he is used to the water, not much of it either.

Do not run a cup full over him, just take a sponge and wet his legs and work up. Do not drop alot of water over his head to get into his ears. Do this a few times, then shampoo and rinse if mom allows, u do not need that much water to start to just wet him to get him used to water.
Go slowly in wetting him, wipe his face with a cloth only. Then when he seems to like it without fear, shampoo and rinse. I would not shampoo if not necessary though.
