How old is your dog? Do you plan on showing? Breeding ?

It doesn't really sound like the heat is causing the issue your dog is having. I wouold call your vet and ask. If the vet wants to see your dog take her in. It could be a allgeric reaction or virus.

My bitch was like that when she came into heat. I had her spayed after her 3rd heat (I was showing her and planned on breeding her) because she would get lumps after she came out of heat. When I had her spayed the vet was suprised. She had an enlarged uterus. If you look at her now it looks like she has had puppies. This might not be your dog's case, but I was just telling you what happened with me. Like Dobi saied it doesnt sound like a reg. heat cycle.

Smile we took her to the vet has a sprained neck

it seems she has a strained her neck and the doctor put her on steriods and muscle relaxer to see if that takes care of it. He did test for lyme disease and heartworm but that was fine.

We also got her new bowls so she doesn't have to bend down

Thanks for your advice.
