Thumbs up Monday Morning for Dakota - Entropion

We took Dakota to the vet. The vet looked at him, said it was Entropion.
The vet said it must be hereditary because its only in one eye, ususally its in both eyes. And the Vet said its not to common in Shepherds, he said he sees alot of Rotti's and then Chows and Sharpies with it. The vet was very friendly and the surgery is only going to cost $350.00. Compared with that of bringing a dogs tempature down for $500.00 its cheap. Those vets were awful, $500.00 to bring a dogs temp down, sheesh.

So then, we were going to leave Dakota there today, but the Vet said he cant do the surgery till monday. So monday morning were dropping Dakota off, the vet said Dakota will have to stay over night. He will have stitches in his eye so he will have a cone on him, conehead lol. The vet said the lower eyelid is really rolled in there good but everything should be fine, he gave us ointment to use prier to the surgery and afterwards.

They also wieghed Dakota. 8 months old and he wieghs 62.6 Pounds!! Hes a Big Boy. My dad was very proud of him (Dakota has bonded to my father)

This litle girl came in and said "Oh wow pretty dog. He looks like a Snow Dog" LOL

Well everything is going good, hes going to be fine. We like the vet, very nice man. Pray for Dakota on Monday Morning!!

Dakota when he was 4 months old.

He will do fine get it down and forget about it the dog will survive better than u guys, lol.

Dogs do not know they have a problem they adapt to live whatever is given them, they know not they have a eye deal or leg lambness or whatever they just go on and on and on and on.

I'm such a worry wart that I would be sick thinking about it. Dogs are so good at adapting to whatever. He is going to be fine.

Ok well its Sunday Night!! Tomorrow Morning we take Dakota in to the Vet to get his surgery done. The vet said it isnt an easy surgery , it will take some time.
Then he wants to keep Dakota over night. Dakota is going to be so scared!! He wont know what is happenening to him with all the noise if people and dogs, and being in a cage with a cone on his head and his eye with stitches. I feel so bad for him. Im worried about how scared hes going to be, about the surgery and even worried somethings going to happen to him.
So everyone pray for Dakota- Thanks
