Apparently, we've been all wrong and it's not whole meat that develops muscle, it's meat by-products!!

*need a smiley laughing hysterically*

I think Hills has the right idea. They don't say ingredients don't matter, they actually specifically say to get the right nutrients, quality, and taste out of your ingredients.

You also have to remember, they are trying to educate everyone. We may know all of that, or even more of the truth.. BUT imagine the people who know little to nothing, or aren't willing to spend very much on their pet's food. I'd rather see someone switch from Ol' Roy to Science Diet (despite how many opinions there are) then no change in feed.

Basically Hill's is allowing both types of owners, and instead of making them feel bad and turn defensive, they are encouraging them! IMO, that's okay.

I guess it's the part of them considering things such as by-product meals and even worse, meat by-product as being a GOOD ingredient!!

Also, good quality ingredients will have good nutrients. They go hand-in-hand.

That is certianly laughable at best.

Meat by-products can be --- Euthanised dogs, cats and horses, diseased meat, roadkill, rotting meat etc... mystery meat basically.

That is one of the major reasons I feed a BARF or RAW diet.
