When pups go in heat?????

Hey! We have a 31/2 month old Doberman puppy as most of you know . They drip blood when they go into heat right, this is what I have heard. Well our pup dripped some blood in our bed a couple nights ago not sure what that meant or if she went into heat a little bit? Isnt she to young for this????

thanks

That's young. I'd suspect any time from 5 months onwards.... but look later for larger breeds.

Any idea where the blood was coming from?

My first guess would be to look in the mouth. She could be losing puppy teeth around now. When Kirby lost teeth, I found blood on the knees pants... I had no clue where it had come from, I wasn't bleeding... No, it was Kirby's gums.

THANKS Oh ya! Her puppy teeth LOL!!! I was told she would start loosing them at around 31/2 months. I will check her mouth! But its been a couple days, would I be able to notice it now? Do they bleed lots when they lose there teeth? Is it normal for them to bleed??

They don't bleed lots but they do bleed. Poppy lost a couple of hers while hubby was out walking with her, he'd been playing with her air kong and he noticed there was blood on the kong and he freaked out - lol. When I got home he said, "you'd better check Poppy out there was blood all over the kong, I didn't do anything, I didn't hurt her" turned out she'd lost her puppy canines - which was good because her adult ones were already through!
