Question Stiches?

Ali was neutered 3 weeks ago Tuesday(I think).
His stiches are disolvable. How long does it take for them to dissolve? He looks pretty good, one spot is kind of pink, I am assume he has been licking there a bit. I was going to put some neosporine on it.

The inside stitches can take awhile but they do disolve.

Rudy had a bump of over a year from one of the stitches he had.

Bitter apple is better the neosporine, He iwll lick off the Neo. If you want him to stop licking spray him with Bitter apple.

Sorry I should have posted this in the last post. I am getting tired and need to go to bed soon!! LOL!!!

Yeah, unless you see it getting infected don't worry. If it swells then you have an issue but it hasn't been that long so Ali should be ok.

How did Clifford do when he was altered ?

Clifford was just fine, he had stiches that had to come out.
He acted like an idiot the following day, he pooped on of his stiches. It looked kinda weird until the rest came out. I was afraid he was going to heal funny, but he was just fine.
I only ask about Ali because I am not used to the disolvable stiches. He goes to his home next Sunday, I want to be sure everything is A-OK!

Aww, you should keep him !

Rudy had stitches that totally disolved but I swear I could feel the one that took the longest ( the bump he had ) and he would lick at it once in awhile. I too was worried about it but my Vet at the time said not to worry. My main concern was it working it's way partially out and then Rudy grabbing it and ripping it out.

The bump was kind of hard and red, it did go away eventually.

If for some reson he does not work out in his new home, I think I will keep him. Two boys really worries me. Just a few minutes ago I had to explain to Clifford I am the boss, not him. He gets short tempered with Ali. He snapped at him, NOT in play!

Rudy gets mad at Jenna and visa versa ! Yup we have to straighten them out too when that happens. For the most part they are a-OK together.

It would be two B--icthes I would be worried about together.

Meka will just have to keep the boys in line.

Ali had a bit of extra stress around his incision line when he was neutered. I think that unless you see a discharge or the lump gets bigger I'd leave it. Mara had disolving sutures and there were a couple lumpy parts for quite awhile. They settled on their own.
