my malinios

Well, I am planning on getting a malinios next year!! I have done so much research and even gotten to experience the joys of one for a while. They are a challenge, but it can be done. I have seen a high energy male that would have probably been out of control if he wasn't trained. He was attack trained and he outed better than any police dog I've ever seen. I can't wait!

Very cute, but they are tough. One of the wonderful challenges of the dog world. In my opinion, they should never be kept as pets, but rather a working dog in some way. Mine would be a demo dog. She will be trained extensively in all things that I can train her in. If you have one under control they make great dogs, but very few people can control them.

ummm....good luck.... I mean that, most dog people (aside from Schutzhund ones) refer to Malinios as feral German Shepherds, and deservedly so.

It is not hyper. They have a very high prey drive. If you had GSD from SchH,IPO lines you would also have a dog with a higher prey drive not hyper.
