Question Lilly ate hand lotion!

Lilly just ate my hemp hand lotion. Only a little bit and I washed out her mouth, brushed her teeth and gave her some water. Will she be okay? The emergency vet that I take her to is busy and although I rang another one (who said it should be fine) I don't trust them seeing as they wanted me to leave Lilly until the morning when she had metaldehyde toxicity. I'm not sure if hemp is dangerous either. So any help will be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Lilly really likes to be sick doesn't she? I honestly don't know but found following on a site and I think it would have to be more than just a little bit to make a dog sick. Here is what I found

Cannabis -- the whole plant – in all forms is toxic - it has a bitter taste and so generally avoided by animals -- causes muscular weakness, salivation, vomiting, drowsiness – not generally fatal

Thank you! Yes, for a fussy dog she has no problems eating anything she isn't allowed!
The ingredients on the container are hemp seed oil, lanolin and glycerin. I'm hoping she'll be fine, I think I got most of it. The vet should be ringing me back in about 5 minutes. I don't know, she sure is stressful! lol

Yeah but true love wins over handcream any day and you must truly love the little sweetie.

Yeah well.......I guess I do lol. She wasn't this bad as a puppy! Now all of a sudden she's a snail-bait, hemp seed oil eating ratbag! I'm sure she did it on purpose too, the look in her eye when she came running in with it gave it away! She was quite proud of herself, no doubts she is back to her normal little self now!

She has no signs of sickness and just had some food. I think it's okay.

Okay panic over! Vet rang and said she'll be fine, a tiny amount won't hurt her especially if I cleaned out her mouth etc. That's a relief!
Thanks again IcyMist!
