Could somebody help me figure out what breed he could be? He's 4, and the place we adopted him from said he was a Pomeranian mix, but he looks nothing like a Pomeranian to me. I though he looked like a Schipperke. Any opinions?

He definately looks like a Pomeranian mix if not full blood. I've never heard of a Schipperke.

Really? Huh, all the pomeranians I've seen look nothing like him. Oh well. Schipperkes are... well, I can't describe it. Here's something about them.

He does look a bit like that. More so in coat than in face. It's nose is a bit long for a Pom, but it's face is a bit wide for the other.

how about being a mix of those? they look like they could create a cute dog like yours. i think it's both breeds.

looks more like a papillon cross than a pom cross to me, agree about the skipperke but they are a little bigger than your average pom.

really? are they so different in america? cos it doesnt look like any pom i've ever seen, the coat isnt big enough and is too silky and the ears are all wrong, the face isnt "foxy" enough and the body is too long, definately a miniture spitz of some description but i wouldnt say a pom necessarily maybe as sparky suggested a skipperke/pom cross. How big is the dog, Poms are extremely miniture (less than 3.5kg) and skipperkes are a little bigger (5-8kg)

Alot of that would depend on how the dog was groomed.

coat size maybe but not texture, and certainly not face-shape, body-length or ear-set.
