Not cows milk. Most dogs stomachs can't tolerate it and will give them the runs.

Dairy isn't something that dogs need in their diets anyways.

I would say no. They usually don't tolerate it well (lactose intolerate). It gives a lot of dogs the runs. Plain old water is much better.

A little cottage cheese or unsweetened yogurt is o.k.

Just because dog wants, doesn't mean dog gets... There are lots of things that my dog wants to eat, that he certainly isn't going to recieve. It's best the train your dog to stay down when the bottle is out; can't have the dog thinking that she can eat/drink anything that falls on the floor. What if you spill something toxic?

Just goes to show you - dogs are different: Max drank at least a cup of milk every day of his life and never got the runs (he'd slurp up the leftover milk from my granola breakfast). I swear, that dog had a stomach made of steel.

Actually, milk is fine for your dog. If you are worried give your dog goats milk.

Yoghurt and Cottage cheese are all made from cow milk.

As part of our dogs RAW diet they get milk on occasion. By that I mean once or twice a month. They get most of their calcium from the raw bones in their diets.

Milk will not upset your dog stomach unless you are feeding your dog a lot of milk. A small saucer will be fine for a pup.

Milk is not fine for you dog, it will upset the stomach, while a little amount won't make much of a difference it can overtime. and while yogurt and cottage cheese are made from bovine, the process of making them is different, the cottage cheese and yogurt have a completly different bacterial composition compared to the milk, that is why people and pets are given yogurt when having diarhea and vomitting. The yogurt replaces the natural enzymes and bacteria in the gut.

Milk is fine, I give milk all the time to my dogs and they are fine, no runny poop, no gas nothing, they are fine.

I know all about yoghurt and cottage cheese and waht they are made from.

Milk IS fine to give to your dog in small quantities.

When in doubt ask your vet.
