Wink My new nephew

Today I got another call from the shelter where I got Riley from and they had a spaniel who needed urgent re-homing because it is almost past the date they hold them for. Anyway he is 5 years old and was found abandoned a while ago, he is neutered and apparently has a wonderful personality. I convinced my brother to get him, so I was pretty pleased about that.

I also donated all Lilly's food (she had lots of un-opened packets of kibble which she wouldn't touch and I no longer feed her kibble anyway ) and a bunch of her old things she doesn't need any more. She wasn't very happy at all lol but she'll get over it.

They had a beautiful Lab mix in there too, which I wanted my other brother to get but he already has his name down for a Rottie puppy which he's getting in January so I hope she gets a good home. It's so sad seeing them in there!
I'd take them all home if I could!

I've included a picture of my new nephew lol, he has no name yet.

Lucky Bro

Do you know that, that dog Is a black and tan Cavalier King Charles Spaniel; one of the
sweetest dogs ever bred and very expensive. I had one and he was a love and must be
treated in a gentle way. Tell your brother that there are heart problems in the
breed and alot die before 5 yrs so have the vet check him out real well. This
may have been a family death or someone moving ......hope so . I'm sure your
brother won't forget to make sure the snail bait is all cleaned up and I do hope your
bro is on good terms with his neighbor again. Do I sound like a Mother or what lol

Here's a good picture of your bro's dog. First Page will have changing pictures of the
four colors and there you can see the best picture.

I was also going to say that he sure looks like a black and tan Cavalier. He's just adorable. Minnie is right about MVD being common in Cavaliers, but hopefully your nephew is clear.

I do know that he is black and tan Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. We also know about the health problems associated but he has been checked out thoroughly by a vet etc. He is estimated to be around 7 years old. They found him starved and sick a while ago, he was abandoned by his previous owners when they moved house.

My brother will be a great owner for him and he will be thoroughly spoilt, I have no doubts in my mind. My brother is an experienced dog owner and would never allow a pet to be purposely hurt. We had no idea that the owners had put snail bait on his part of the fence and of course that has been cleaned up now. They are not on good terms but this dog will never suffer because of that. This baby will have a very good home.

Thanks for the info!
