Tear stain wont come off....help!
Would anyone know of a home remedy for lightening tear stains? The area under my pugs eyes are getting really brown already and as much as I try to wipe his tears, the stain does not wanna come off. I blame myself for not being too vigilant in wiping his tears so now, its all stained up and I hate it! Theres not too much tear stain remover products here in the Philippine market so a home remedy would really really be helpful! Thanks!!

I would daily twice a day use baby wipes and just clean it good, maybe keeping it clean it will lighten and leave.
Otherwise, www.drsfostersmith.com has regular pads I believe you use that removes face stains on white dogs. Might be a cream, I order my shipping crates there and just noticed it. |

The only thing I've ever found that works is a product called Diamond Eye. But you need to use it at least every other day. Sorry for such a small picture. Most pet stores don't carry it - at least PetSmart doesn't. I get it on line. You can order it through Pet Edge, but they have a minimum order amount of 50.00 or 60.00. I'm sure you could find it somewhere else.

For me, I would be digging to the root of the tear stain. Why are the stains there?
Is there something that your dog is eating that he is allergic to, causing excessive staining? Something new in the atmosphere? |

there is stuff at petsmart i use its called tear off or something like that , they are in pad forms, and you just clean them and it takes the tear stains off and the eye gunkies that the tears leave on the skin. I use it religiously,, its an awsome product.

check this out
http://www.angelsglow.com/about.html I've never tried it. Like I said, I use Diamond Eyes with success. When you research this problem, you will find there are dozens upon dozens of possible reasons for excessive tearing. |

I don't use anything on Lilly's except water.
She also drinks bottled water and she mainly drinks out of the bottle or a stainless steel dish. I keep the hair out of her eyes and make sure there is nothing to affect her environmentally. She doesn't get them much at all these days. Riley doesn't seem to get them at all but I still do the above for her too. |
