Ok for pup to jerk and tug on teet of mom while feeding?

Hi, my dam, Doxie, has one pup for her first litter. This pup is gaining weight fine - 3 days old and has gone from 8 oz to 11 oz. But the pup seems to be almost too hungry for mom. She jerks and tugs while she eats and I'm not sure why. Is this because she's just hungry or is it having a hard time? I'm just wondering if this is common and should I be concerned?

Well, when her teets are squeezed, I can produce a couple drips. Sorry for my ignorance, but I'm not sure what is enough... any way to gauge?

Some dogs like people get over excited when they eat. I would only be worried if the pup is losing weight. So keep a daily chart on how many times he feeds, how long and weight gain or loss.

Yeah, she has been gaining weight fine it seems, so I won't worry too much yet.
