Thumbs up I think today is going to be the day!!!

Well, today in the morning Libby started to Dig in the yard & I mean Dig a big whole. Then after she came back in the house she started to Breath heavy on & off. And is still doing it now at this time. She also is digging in the corner of my walls. And she looks so SAD!! I spoken to the vet Today and she said the signs that libby is having She bets she will have the pups some time today! So that means I am calling out of work today . And she keeps on looking for a special spot to lay And little by little walks in circles & digs at her Blanket. She never does that! I have everything together just incase. Plus my Hubby is coming home to help out! But the one part that sucks is she will not let me Take her Temp. Her tail is so stronge I cant even move it to take the Temp. When she dont want you to do something she shows you!!! Is there another way to check her Temp? I will keep you all updated for today. Is there any such thing as False Labor for a Dog? I am just wondering.

Look Sweetie, ignore the temp now and go on the digging signs and panting as she is in labor. She is at least within 24 hours of labor of whelp. Get your gloves, sissors, iodine, scale, book and pen to write weight, time, sex and color around the necks, suction cup to get fluids out of the mouth, lots of towels to rub it hard to squeel the more they squeel the better the heart starts. Good Luck and let us know how many and how things go. Do not use blankets, towels as babies can get caught up in any little crack and suffocate, keep it smooth till its all done.

Right now it looks like she found a good spot to rest. She is relaxing on her Blanket right now and no Panting. I do think sometime today or even tonight. We will see. Thanks for all the Advive Sheplovr!

Yes shep is right, do not bother with her temp right now, when is showing you other signs of labour! Wow how exciting!! Your girl knows it is time soon, I think it is so maternal when they start to make their "nest". You must be nervous! I think you have prepared as much as you possibly could so good luck and keep everybody updated!!!!

It is 4:30pm here & I just took Libby out to potty and she is still panting heavy on & off. And walking in circles the room. She still will not let me take her temp. But everything seems to be the same. She seems to have trouble looking for a spot to lay.
