Toys breeds??? Want one??!!!

I want to get a toy dog in the next couple months or so. I have been thinking about minpins or a chi but I am not positive. I want to pick the right breed of dog for me.

Anyone have any suggestions on toy breeds other than the 2 I said?? I dont know much about toy breeds so I dont know all of them out there and I want to explore all my options

thanks guys

I have a Chihuahua and she is the best little/toy dog I've ever had. I would say go for a Chi, Dachshund, or Rat Terrier..
Take the breed selector quiz on www.dogbreedinfo.com
if you do, be sure to tell us your results

Thanks Southerngirl! Rat terrier I have never heard of that LOL!

I have heard that Chi's are really nervous dogs and very anti-social is that true?? I really love them and think they are the cutest!!!!

I am taking the quiz right now LOL

here are so links with info on the breed:
http://www.webspawner.com/users/tink...formatio2.html
http://www.nextdaypets.com/directory/breeds/1100206/

I love them but they are not for everyone. And just like with other breeds they are all different and not all of them go by the standard. They are very loving, sweet and loyal dogs that are eager to please and smart but they can be neurotic if bred badly. They also require more than average grooming and they are suspecible to early tooth loss and luxating patella and collapsed trachea. But they are over all healthy little dogs. They can bark a lot if not trained and can be hard to housebreak but are suppose to be one of the easier ones to housebreak of the toy breeds.

Tinkerbelle loves the family, she will warm up to strangers after a few minutes. She sometimes does get nervous, but not bad. Shes a great dog, the best LITTLE dog i've ever had. She protects me too.. Thats sometimes a problem if shes sitting in my lap and someone she doesnt know well tries to pet her she will nip them and growl and sometimes if they run she chases them (which is funny when its grown people.. lol) But shes a great little dog.
If your looking for a calmer dog, try a dachshund, I have one named Cricket and she loves everyone, not all of them are this way, but she is-she gets along with everything.. Hamsters,birds,dogs,cats,kids.. everything.
Riley is a one family dog way more than tinkerbelle-hes a Rat Terrier, and he dont like ANYONE outside the family. We was supposed to be a mini rat terrier (5-10lbs..) he weighs 15! haha! Hes a sweetie when he wants to be.
But after all my going on and on.. I would really recommend a Chihuahua.
