Which is better to use and safer?

I bought diff. color yarn and hair pieces. Which do you think is safer & better to put on the pups? I braded the yarn so you can see it on them and I made it enough room so you can put your Pinky thru. Which is better to use and what do you all use!

With thw Bernese puppies becoue of the coloring they were all just differnt enough, but I know most breeders use yarn, some use hair scrunchies, and I know one who just puts a dash of differnt color non-toxic nail polish ontop of their heads.

I'd just use yarn, since that's what most breeders use. If it works for them, then it should be good.

I use the yard, braided and change it often.I do keep the first collar in the puppy book and it goes home with the owner.Along with a hugh book on their puppy.

I'd use the yarn. But usually I just use a non-toxic marker instead.

I know someone who puts a ribbon around the tail and that works too.

I'm pretty sure it's in regards to telling the pups apart. They each get a different colour etc.

I buy different sized of Pony tail holders or for buns or whatever for human deco hair things. I can wash them easy, they dry quickly and I check to adjust them every few days. they star on and are safe, bright with tons of colors I have. I have tried bands, rick rack, it does not last at all. This is what works for me to tell boys from girls. I mark down who is who is my birthing book. Easy to grab a girl up or a boy to show somebody or just check on a certain one.

Then we graduate to Kitty nylon collars until old enough to wear a regular puppy adjustable collars. AND, I pay only one dollar for them at the Dollar Store, they last and last. The little girl has a red kitty collar on an the younger pup an elastic gathered hair attachments works well for me to wash and dry quickly.
