Dalmation

As some of you may know, from time to time I ask this question for a specific breed when they catch my eye, so here it goes:

For all who have had experience with Dalmations, tell me your likes and what others who don't own a dalmation might dislike, etc. I'm curious about it and have read some stuff on them, now I want personal experience ^^

Thanks ^^

My neibor has a dalmation. I dislike it so much!!! Because it lunges at the fence, which makes my dogs bark. Soonly its gonna break our fence down. I know a friend who has 2, they were so sweet! They love people. I just dont like my neibors dal.

I had a friend years ago who had a mother and daughter. They were awesome dogs. Very well trained. One even smiled when she was spoken to in a different tone. I wanted one years ago but then we ended up rescueing Rusty. But then there are so many breeds out there that I want to own!

I have had three dalmatians, the best breed ever in my opinion! Very loving, loyal, willing to please, protective, SMART very smart, and of course dont forget beautiful! I doubt anyone could resist those adorable spots! My first dal Heidie would smile at us when we came home! it was hilarious!

I was attacked by a dalmation. It was totally unprovoked with no warning. It did not let go of my arm until I let Dax go. This dog also bit it's owner, attacked several smaller dogs to the point they needed medical attention, and a child.

We had one when I was 5 years old that was unpredictable and dragged me into a tree. This is not a breed I would get if I had young children in the house

I have heard of a few dal attacks but I cant believe that it was all the dogs fault. Dalmatians are just like any other dog and have to be socialized when they are puppies. If socialized right then they are amazing family dogs though they can be a little to hyper and wiggly for small children(they are very clumsy so they tend to knock small children down)

My first dal wasnt good with other dogs(she was a rescue) my second dal was a dog from heaven literally! He was the best dog anyone could ask for!(he was also a rescue) Perfect in every way! My third dal was a dream also but she climbed fences(dals are known for their escapes!)

oh also to add something, once you get a dalmatian there is no turning back! lol My heart is always captured by those beauties! I have to turn them down though every time since our house is full but if we had room for one more the spot would be filled with a dal!

I knew a couple of nasty Dalmatians when I was younger. The male would come running up and really hurt people with his tail and was very aggressive and bossy. The female attacked my sister, it was also unprovoked.
There is one I frequently see on walks and he is aggressive towards Lilly too and has hurt other dogs in the past.
It could just be coincidence but I wouldn't recommend the breed around children either.
I've heard they are best with experienced owners.
