He ate the whole bag! :S

I bought my dog Dentabones, and It says not suitable for dogs under 22 pounds. My dog is between 20 and 25, so I gave him a half of one. I put the pack on the desk and went to school. When I got home I found the empty package on my bed. Is this dangerous? At first I thought he would just have really clean teeth, but since it says not suitable for dogs under 22 pounds, and it says 1 per day...I kinda got worried. Is this okay?

I don't think there will be a problem but I would call Pedigree® Careline at 1-800 667-2424. Phone them up and ask them what the concerns for the product are.

He should be ok. He may feel sick for a little while but you're right-- he will have clean teeth! How many are in a package? They say that they are only for dogs over 20 lbs but we give them to my 8 lb Chihuahua.

nods, i agree with both Dax and Rusty-Buck. I thin you should be fine, however i would call to see what the active ingrediant is that could be harmful. However, if you are worried at all, you could always make your dog throw up what ( if any) is left in his tummy. You can give you dog Hydrogen Peroxide ( most dogs love the taste of it). Start off with approx 3 cc of it and just wait. Normally they will throw up everything in about 5-10 minutes. But this will stop whatever else is in his tummy to not be digested. BUT BEFORE doing this, i would consilt the pedegree people to make sure that doing this method doesn't interfear with any ingredients in the bones ( just like human stuf that says do not induce vomiting.) But, if it ok, and you want to give it a shot that will make your dog throw up.. so stand back. Also, it tends to make them upset to their tummy for approx 12 hours, so i wouldn't feed your dog anything for a little while. But mabey that would help =)

I dont think anything bad should happen. The most i have seen from over eating treats is tummy aches. I agree with dax, call and see what they say.

Given that he hasn't choked on them, I think he'll have a stomach ache, but I don't imagine any long term effects.
