I don't know what to do!! I'm scared.

I just posted about my dog Cleo. Well she vomited again tonight, and she still has diarreah. Really, we've been giving her NOTHING out of the ordinary. I'm really really scared now. We're calling the vet tomorrow but in the meantime, does anyone know if there is anything we can do or have any ideas of what might be the cause?

How old is she. Has she had all her shots. Could she have gotten into something or had contact with strangers.

If you think it's just an upset tummy my doctor has let me give pepto before.

You can try giving a little bit of pepto bismol.

Is she on a bland diet? If not, I suggest you just feed her plain rice & boiled chicken for a little while... Don't panic, it could just be a bug.

She is five months old. We did go to obedience training, so yes, she was in contact with strangers, BUT she's been sick since like Sunday night, so I doubt that's why, and yes, she's has all her shots. I only have the pepto chewable tablets and she doesn't like those...I don't know what to do!

Has she kept any food/water down? If she hasn't since sunday I think you should just go to the vet. You don't want her to get dehydrated

how old is the dog? Is it possible Cleo got into something without you knowing? Check the premisis for anything out of the ordinary. If the dog is still a pup you must get fluids into her or she could dehydrate quickly. Some people use canned pumkin to help with the diarreha. I would recommend some chicken pieces and white rice as it is more soothing to the stomach. There are many things that could cause this, are you able to take her temperature? That would be a sure sign something is truley wrong, not just that she ate something bad for her, or a slight virus.

how would i take her temperature? she's drank lots of water today, but then she gets diarreah or pukes and that's another reason i'm scared. i will try the chicken... and she is five months old.

Sorry I did not see the previous post. Sunday to tuesday night is a long time for a virus, If she will eat any little bit of chicken and rice that would be good. Don't worry about the right amount , anything would be good at this point. Get her to the vet asap to make sure she hasn't contrated something from dog class. Use an eye dropper or turkey baster to get some fluids into her.
