Help with my Chi's Ear.

I have a 16 week old Chihuahua. Just recently, her left ear started folding down, and tonight it almost folded all the way over. Is there any way to fix this, or will her ear be this way forever?

My chihuahua buzzie had a ear like that when she was a puppy. But it went back up. If it stays down, I hope its not a problem. Is she a show dog or something?
I bet she is adorable though!

My last chihuahuas ears did it when she started teething. Your little girl may be getting ready to lose a few.

Rusty's ears stayed folded down for the longest time but they they started to stand up. They still don't stand up all the way, they are folded a little at the tips. I think it's cute

It is a natural occurance for chi's ear to not always be erect at such a young age still. If it is still floppy by 6 months, i'd say its genetic.

Does either of her parents have a/both floppy ears? Grandparents? If they did, it is more likely to flop, or have trouble staying erect. Chihuahua's ear CAN NOT be floppy in the show ring, however, if its a companion, I wouldn't worry about it if I were you

She won't be a show dog, but this is the first Chi I had, so I was a little afraid. She is really cute. I wish I had a pic...
I forget what her parents ears were like. They were folded down, I think, but that was because they were scared.
