Around what age?

The puppies are 18 days old today. Around what age can will it be safe enough for me to take out the pigs rails inside the whelping box. Some of the poor pups keep on hitting their cute little heads on it. Libby is very gentle with them. Any Advice please give!

I take mine out about 2/3 weeks depends on the mum, how much exp. she has, and how good/careful of a mom she is!

Libby is Great with them. The only time she almost sat on one was they were 3 days old. She seems very careful with them when she tries to settle down in the whelping box with them. I trust her 100% with them. And that is good because I worry about every little thing.

Usually within the first 3 days or so is when they might sit on them most first time moms.

I bet it's hard not too! lol, no matter how big the whelping box, Libby's a big dane and has a lot of pups. The fact that she "almost" sat on one without actually doing it is pretty good for her size and for how many pups she has, if you ask me ^^ She sounds like such a great mum ^^
