New puppy in Parvo house?

We have had a puppy that survied Parvo about 5-6 months ago, and we want to get a new puppy so our dog has a buddy. Im not sure if we can bring a puppy into a house that has had parvo? Or how long you should wait or can you bring them in if they have had all of their shots?

Any advice would be greatly received.

Thanks,

A puppy over 4 months of age with all it's second set of shots would be the best candidate to bring in. An adult dog even better.

I would make sure that all areas that the dog is exposed to have been washed with a bleach/water solution. I would take the new puppy to a different potty area for at least a month or so.

Be sure to watch for any signs of the disease in the new puppy as early treatment is still best.

I just jumped on the forum in a hurry but I give my pups a straight parve at 3 weeks old then a combination 5 vets know this innoculation the next is a 7 in one. I make sure my pups are innoculated early for parvo the most deadly to carry on feet, socks, shoes, clothes etc. I take no chance with my pups so I give this shot since I worked side by side in a vet lab for years to do and know this.

I worm every 2 weeks pups till ready to go then I give a 72 hour health guarantee to take to your vet and check it out and anything found to hinder the lifetime of your pet it is replaced of equal or better quality............
