Unhappy IN The Most Loving Memory...

This morning I checked on Fidgie...and most sadly, her other leg had gone stiff. I don't want animals to suffer, and she could hardly move around. She had picked up weight over the last few days to my relief, and John(the vet) said he was glad it was not a stomach problem. He thought it could be a tumor up higher on the spine, but what did it matter completely...I agreed to put the poor little blue sky budgie down. She nipped me and the vet goodbye and passed away just a few seconds after he injected her... I still can't get over how quickly they just shut their eyes and go slack. We've buried her in her favourite spot in the yard, in a four foot deep hole, with her favourite toys around her. Now I'm happy that she didn't have to suffer long...but I'm still sad cause I've had her seven years and I did love her alot. Rest In Peace, dear little Fidge!

Oh Tex I am so sorry!
You did the best thing for Fidgie and she was lucky to have you!
I'm sure she's happy with Little now and I'm glad she isn't suffering anymore!
Hugs from the girls and me!

I'm so sorry for your loss. It sounds like even though it was a difficult thing to decide you did what was best fo Fidgie which shows that you are a very caring parent.

Poor baby! I'm so sorry, but you did the right thing. Do you have any other birds? Well she's in a better place where she won't be suffering

I am so sorry to hear that but you did the right thing by not letting her suffer.

Life is so different without my little girl! I can't stand the heartache these birds are all giving me!! I have taken flowers to her grave and we're getting a memorial put up next week...I still miss her talking around the house though!
