Are blackberries toxic?

Does anybody know if blackberries are dangerous or toxic to dogs?
Lilly and Riley got hold of some before and although I managed to get most of them away from them, I just wanted to know if I should be concerned? I rang the vet but had to speak to a vet tech instead, she said they are fine but then another one said they can be dangerous in large doses, but just this once they should be okay.
In the mean time their lovely white fur is stained with blackberries and I can't get it all out! As long as they will be okay I don't mind though. So does anyone know if I should be concerned??
Thanks!

Years ago my dogs ate them off the plants, we lived in Virginia, and the hills were covered in them.
Did you try peroxide ? not a lot but abit on a cotton ball. It will wear off and until then just tell everyone you have "rare" colored dogs.LOL
Oh and don't freak when you see the seeds in the stool.

LOL thanks. Haven't tried peroxide, Is it safe around the mouth area? I washed it with baking soda and it helped Lilly a bit but Riley is very funny looking or should I say "rare" still!! I just hope it comes out before Christmas! Lilly at least, needs to look pretty lol!

Strange fashion statement, hopefully none of the other dogs on here will get any ideas! And yep a few more piercings and they'll be set!

Peroxide will work wonders ( also takes blood out of dogs furr). And if they do accidently drink some of it don't worry it will only make them throw up ( thats what vets use when a dog has found the chocolate jar). Besides this sounds weird , but for some reason dogs love the taste of peroxide, i think to them it tastes like sellser wter =)
