Old dog blues

[Dax]

Tonight Dax fell down at the dog park. Whether she tripped or her backend went out, I'm not sure.

We had a minute or so of scary dog crying. She finally managed to get up and limp back to the car and is now resting. She seems to be ok.

I guess I should consider myself lucky that I didn't have to phone saying "my dog has fallen and can't get up"

Just goes to show that growing old is no fun for anyone.

poor baby! No matter the species, getting older is hard. I am glad to hear she is ok and not hurt.

Poor Dax, give her big kisses and cuddles from me and the boys. There is no dignity left when they grow old. Poor baby. Glad to hear that it was a just a scare and nothing more serious. Big dogs are so hard to try and pick up by yourself.

oh poor Dax...that is so sad It is hard to see them getting old. I am glad she didn't do any major damage.

Now i'm crying.... the same thing was happening to Sheena all the time before her legs finally gave out. They would lock and she woud scream, and you had to hit her legs to unlock them. Ugh.

Poor Dax. I hope that stuff never happens to King. Give her a dear hug from me.

Sorry to hear this.My Buddy has his days....getting older zaps all the fun, at least she didn't have a major injury. Hugs.

You know that is the one thing about dog ownership that sucks. I hate watching them grow old. As mush as we try to do for them to keep them healthy and happy they still out grow us.

Sorry - I have vivid memories of Max getting older and less stable on his feet. I hated it and I think I have a pretty good idea how you feel. I hope Dax didn't hurt too much.
