Hi Nugs

How old is your Staffy ?

I am going to bet that he is playing a game. If you are really concerned call you vet for advice.

Kirby chases his tail too...

I would put a stop to the game if he is catching it and chewing it.

Little Miss Luna~Tyk chases her tail as well , but usually it means to me anyhoo that she is happy and just playing around.
She gets giddy fairly quickly, then falls over, barks a little, rolls on her back barking and then gets up and does it again , lol.
Gotta love playful pups. I wouldn't be too concerned unless as others have suggested he either starts chewing on it or possibly he might have an itch he just can't quite reach and a yak with your Vet might be helpful.

kinds sound to me like you dog may be bored. You might want to teach your dog a new trick. OR if you want petsmart has the really interesting game the dog can play if and when you aren't home. Its kidnda like acube and you put treats in it. Then the dog has to find the " combination" to let out a treat. So it stimulates them to learn. That might help=)

It sounds like a game but if you are worried it wouldn't hurt to ask a vet.

My girls both do it at times. It's just a game for them.
