Toothpaste, rinses and gel...
Well, I can now blame chihuahuagirl for this
 she gave me the PetEdge website and I've been having a good old look around. So I want to know do any of you use these sorts of products for cleaning your dog's teeth. I currently use a finger brush and toothpaste but wondered what you thought of these.  This is a rinse (?) that you put in the dog's drinking water.  This is supposed to be a gel but you apply it like toothpaste.Then you've got rinses that you squirt in the mouth and cleaning pads???? What do you think of these things?

Here is some good stuff, remember not to ever use human toothpaste on dogs.

I think the finger toothbrush and just brushing their teeth is enough. I think all that mouth rinse and stuff is just a way to make money. I think good old tooth brushing works just fine

Penny still tries to eat the finger brush....finger included. Can we say ouch?

I use some brand that tastes like beef.. its no huge brand.. just a cheap one from walmart... but it works all the same.
Also, denta bones are good.. they make wipes for the ones who dont want a huge brush in their mouths.

I just use a dog toothpaste and electric toothbrush for Lilly, that's the only way she doesn't mind it happening. I use a finger brush for Riley though. And raw bones keep their teeth clean too.

Hmm I never heard of a rinse..and personally i wouldnt use it.. I think the fingerbrush should do.

 I clean my dogs teeth when ever I have time. We feed Oral care from science diet. My dogs teeth are very white. I dont think water is going to break up every thing on the teeth. My vet carries C.E.T. by Verbac animal health(when they introduce it to our vet, I was at the meeting. And They asked someone a question and he and nobody else new, and I shouted it out and the lady gave me a buch of free stuff...lol). People are always buying this stuff.
