I can't believe she is going to have these puppies in less than two weeks, she doesn't look that big to me.
Could this mean a small litter, I just can't imagine she is going to gain so much in less than two weeks.
Oh, I also included a pic I just took of her standing over Charlie, she does this ALL DAY LONG.lol I've never seen anything like it, its like she wants him to nurse or something.

The puppies fatten up the last two weeks, she should put on alot of weight and almost drag if she gets tons of milk in, some wait till starting to whelp for milk to come in so do not panic.

She looks good, not too big, she should really fatten up or the pups I mean. they do all the gaining the last 2 weeks, the female suffers. Just keep feeding her good, lots of water and she should be in her whelp box now also? Good Luck.

LOL! She's looking good! She should get much bigger soon too. It doesn't necessarily mean a small litter, she could just be carrying higher up. Are you getting x-rays done for an approximate idea on how many to expect?

Sharky didnt really start to get really big till about 2 weeks from whelping. I think boxers just carry high in the ribs. Sharky stands over my other dog all the time too its really funny.

How is Sharky doing??

Sheplovr- Thanks for the advice about the whelping box, I didn't know she needed to be in it already. But, gives me something to do tomorrow I guess.

Lilly's owner- I was thinking about the x-ray, but I've been reading a bunch and it doesn't seem to be that reliable.
Her vet said she should do fine, he said larger dogs don't normally have problems with delivery.
Have you had one done on your dog before? Was it reliable??
Thanks for any information.

Nope we decided not to x-ray either. Lilly did have ultrasounds to confirm the pregnancy, but like you I didn't feel the need to x-ray. I was confident that she would whelp perfectly fine and she did. They can be unreliable and are only generally good if there is concerns over possible difficulties regarding size etc.

Poor Sharky, I guess pregnancy is tough on every female, whether human, dog or any other creature.
