This infuriates me. As a dobe lover, myself, I was VERY upset when I saw this. It's in this Christmas's classifieds for the Cleveland Plain Dealer...
"DOBERMAN PUP AKC RARE White factored/Blue Put some ICE under your tree. Male, ready 12/23. shocking blue eyes $1800" WHAT????

Dobermom - It's morons like this who create homeless dobes. How many dogs did she have to breed to get her white factored blue? It makes me physically sick to think of it. Thank God for people like you who take in these poor dobes. They are great dogs, but in the wrong hands without proper socialization...well...

People breed them because they charge huge amount of money for them. They are genetic freaks but people will get a white and breed it continually throughout it's life to creat more of these poor creatures.
These are true albino with all the problems of true albino. Their tempermanent is uaually bad becasue they are in pain most of the time, they are photosensitive and the liist goes on and on. People who buy these dogs have no idea and think they are getting some rare and unique dog but what theya re getting is a LOT of vet bills and a poor quality dog with lots and lots of issues. They are a theat to the Doberman breed.

I hate seeing this, does anyone care that these albinos can and usually do get extremely sick. I mean, how can a dog be happy when they can't even go outside to play for too long 'cause the sun hurts them?? Those poor babies.

That is sick! I HATE HATE people like this. I see this all the time in the horse world too. People have no regard for these poor animals, they are just worried about the money. Whats worse is the people that BUY these poor animals, because then these "puppy mills" (and that is all a person like this is...) keep doing it!

AND....(continuing with my rant) WHY doesn't the AKC do something about this? Like refusing to register the pup...that coloring is considered a fault by the breed standard, correct??!
